What's In This Site??

Hey friends!
It took me a few days to put this website together, picking the right content, formatting the pages, editing all the Word files, blah blah blah. But it's done!
This is my 'official' website, self maintained and updated so there will always be new content to look out for! I wanted to include more than just pics and a bio - so in this website, in addition to that stuff, you'll also find performance video clips on the RobTube page, including a VideoClinic section with instructional video clips. There are also useful drum tips, educational articles, links to cool drum websites in the Gear section and a FAQ section with very detailed answers to help you out. Hopefully y'all will find this site helpful and somewhat cool!

"Rob Brown is an anointed, talented and professional drummer. He is also
the first drummer I call whenever my concerts call for a full band."
Robert Chambers

Biography
Rob Brown has been playing the drums for over 20 years with a wide range of artists with styles ranging from R&B, rock, jazz, funk, fusion, new country, and pop. In 1997 Rob dedicated his talents to serving God and has since become heavily involved in ministry. Since starting to play for his then home church, Christian Life Center in Ajax, Ontario, he has slowly become very well known in the Christian music ministry circles, eventually having played with artists such as Aileen Lombardo, Andy Paresianne, Carvin Winans, Diane Clemons, Trevor Dick, Matt Tapley, Mark Masri, Laura Woodley, Hetti Marie, composer/pianist Robert Chambers, Allen Froese, Dan Macaulay, Drew Brown, Alinka Chambers, Karen Burke, York University Mass Choir, Power UP Mass Choir and Liberty Silver to name a few. Rob has also worked and toured with the Tehillah Toronto Band and can be heard on their nationally released worship album 'Born of the Spirit' and continues to work with friend and worship leader, Lorna McDougall.

Rob started teaching professionally back in 1993 when he started Drum Tech School For Drummers which turned out many young drummers, some of them moving on to work professionally in bands today and is also the creator of the popular drum event and stage show 'Drums Live!', a jam packed three hour celebration of the art of drumming,  where he has shared the stage alongside friends and world class drummers Vito Rezza, Mark Kelso, Wilson Laurencin, Jeff Salem, Paul Brochu (UZEB) and Larnell Lewis. In 2005 he presented the innovative 'three man tag' drum clinic 'Rhythm in the Round' which has earned him exposure in DRUMS Etc magazine as well as an appearance on Breakfast Television. In July of 2005, Rob outlined and instructed a summer drum course called 'Comprehensive Drumming' for the music program at Canada Christian College. He has also written two articles for  long&mcquade.com magazine entitled 'Soloing and the Drummer's Vocabulary' and Listening to Learn & Learning to Listen - Developing Your Ear'  and continues to perform, record and minister with various artists and worship leaders in and around the GTA.

“I believe that if we serve with the attitude that our gifts are not for ourselves, but have been given to us by God to share with others, then sharing becomes easy.”
